9-Channel Discrete Amplifier with ECO Mode
The AVR-X4300H features a power amplifier section with all 9 channels configured identically, employing discrete high-current-capable power transistors. Each channel is rated at 125 watts (8 Ohms, 20 Hz to 20 kHz, 0.05% THD) and all channels are able to safely drive lower impedance speakers (down to 4 Ohms). Denon's ECO mode adjusts power consumption according to signal level, and there's an on-screen ECO Mode display that lets you see in real time how much energy ECO mode is saving. Additionally, the 9-channel amplification allows for setting up a 7.1.2- or 5.1.4-channel 3D experience without the need for an external amplifier. By using an external amplifier, the setup can get extended to 7.1.4, as the AVR-X4300H features 11.2-channel processing. If not in use for 3D audio, the integrated amplifiers can get assigned to drive another pair of speakers in a second audio zone running a different source than the main room.
Dual Subwoofer Outputs
A single subwoofer can give an uneven bass response at the main listening position, with audible peaks and dips. The AVR-X4300H provides connectivity for two subwoofers; positioned in different locations, they will even-out the low frequencies for more accurate bass anywhere in the listening area. It also provides Audyssey Sub EQ HT to give individual tailoring of each subwoofer via digital signal processing.
Discover the fidelity of high resolution audio tracks with the AVR-X4300H's ability to decode up to 24-bit/192 kHz lossless files (FLAC and WAV; ALAC/Apple Lossless to 24-bit/96 kHz), DSD 2.8 MHz (the audiophile format of SACD), and 5.6 MHz tracks. Play them from memory devices via the front-panel USB or from network sources; the AVR-X4300H will also play lossy file types such as MP3 and WMA.
Audyssey Room Correction Suite
Equipped with the Audyssey Platinum suite of DSP algorithms, the AVR-X4300H features Audyssey MultEQ XT32 automatic room acoustic correction. With the supplied microphone, MultEQ XT32 analyzes each speaker's output (including the subwoofers) at up to eight measurement locations and generates digital filters that optimize each channel for the correct frequency and time domain response. Audyssey Dynamic Volume smooths out annoying jumps in volume, such as TV commercials, letting you listen at lower levels and still enjoy clear dialogue, music, and sound effects. Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides tonal tailoring for full-range clarity at nearly any listening level. Audyssey Low Frequency Containment uses psychoacoustic algorithms to deliver a full-range tonal balance, including deep bass, but without disturbing close-by neighbors or family members in other rooms. It also features a multi-step adjustment that lets you dial-in the amount of containment to your preference. Audyssey Sub EQ HT provides individual DSP tailoring of each subwoofer in a dual-subwoofer setup for deeper bass with improved definition compared to a single-subwoofer configuration.
Wired Multi-Source/Multi-Zone Support
You can enjoy your favorite movie in the main room while others enjoy stereo sound from different sources in two other rooms, because the AVR-X4300H is equipped with pre-amp outputs for a 2nd zone and 3rd zone. There's also a dedicated HDMI output for 2nd-zone audio and video so you can watch and enjoy two different video sources at the same time.
Smart TV Connectivity
Using the HDMI CEC (consumer electronics control) functionality provided on some smart TVs, it's possible to control Denon receivers with the TV's remote. Set the receiver's "HDMI control" to ON, choose the "Smart Menu" receiver control function on the TV, and the Smart Menu home screen allows direct access to a range of receiver functions, including source and surround mode, the main setup menu, and the Smart Select "one-touch" presets.
