A great home theater reciever for the future! March 7, 2016

I wanted the latest AV receiver for my apartment with Dolby Atmos in a 7.1.2 configuration. I thought I'd have to wait for next year's models to come out. After doing some research, I came across the Yamaha Aventage series and the RX-A2050 that had a 7.1.2 configuration.

Set-up is dependent on your skill level. For me, a little confusing manually setting up speaker configuration BEFORE using the YPAO set-up.

Overall, Dolby Atmos material will blow you away. The final fight scene in Terminator: Genisys was amazing! I've never felt bass move along the floor like that. WOW! I like using the DSP programs. Yamaha is very well known for putting too many DSP programs on their receivers. However, with the app available for apple and android phones, the DSP programs are enjoyable to use and I actually use them!

As of this review, early December 2015, DTS:X is still not available. Not a deal breaker to have to wait a little longer for DTS:X.
